Title:  Rail Train Unit Added
Description:  They've added the UP 9148 to the train due to a wheel problem with the 2410, it would be fixed in Poplar Bluff. AAA Limo was backing out after picking up the crew. The rail train is here to pick up the new rail that they laid out 2 years ago, it was the wrong size and was being transported to another worksite.

Description:  The local again came south today, on my last day of school! We got out at 11:30 A.M. and Alex Shepard and I headed north to see what we could see. The train had 2410, needing wheel work, and were getting grain cars at the MFA Elevator.

Description:  Alex and I went over to Lilbourn to the former BNSF/UP Crossing and caught 2 trains! Much more than we had expected. We also talked to a UP Bridge Foreman. It was one heck of a catch to see the Warbonnet B40-8.

Description:  The Mo-Pac Heritage Locomotive leads UP Train IHOYC 26 out of Poplar Bluff just east of town on the UP Hoxie Sub. At the time the engine was still kept pretty clean, none of the decals were peeling or burnt off, and the paint hadn't begun to fade, and none of it needed touching up. Over 6 years later, that simply isn't the case with 1982.

Description:  The Mo-Pac Heritage Locomotive led UP Train IHOYC 26 through MO Jct. this morning off of the Old Missouri Pacific onto the Old Cotton Belt. It will be on former SSW Tracks until it gets to Illinois. From there northward it was MP trackage to Valley Junction with SSW Trackage Rights. I'd been waiting for a shot like this with the Mo-Pac Engine leading the train and being well lit, and I finally got exactly what I wanted!

Description:  I went down the hill and caught UP Train MNLTT 31 coming through MO Jct. with 526 axles, 85 loads, 39 empties, 124 total cars, 12,278 tons, and 7,474 feet long. From here I headed back to Malden to see Engineer and Operation Lifesaver Volunteer Mike McGill give a presentation on grade crossing safety for my dad's driver's ed. class. Mike did a great job and really hit home with my classmates. DMIR 409 was built as SSW 9280 March 1973, so it's on home rails here on the Cotton Belt!
