Album Info:This album will include photos that I took with Nick and Ethan on our Big 2 Day railfanning outing on the NS and CSX Mainlines between New Carlisle, IN and Edgerton, OH on NS and Fostoria, OH-New Haven, IN on CSX and NS. Day 1 consisted of following NS's Waterlevel Route, including a couple of trains on the South Shore. Enjoy

Description:  Today began Day 2 of the Big 2 Day Trip. (as we dubbed it the Ohio Trip) We started the day in Fostoria and worked our way east on CSX to Defiance before cutting off and heading towards Fort Wayne again. We got up nice and early to start the day at the Iron Triangle Railroad Park in Fostoria to take advantage of the cool morning backlighting. When we got there, NS L37 with power only began to work the yard. As we were taking photos, the engine blew for a yard crossing which scared some birds. This is probably one of my favorite shots from this year!

Description:  Right after CSX Q166 passed, NS 10R did come west with a usual BNSF leading. Since I figured NS 10R would have a BNSF leading, I figured it was coming first since we heard a K3LA horn, but apparently CEFX 1043 has a K3LA as well.

Delmarva Central is one of Delewares newest short lines, and it seems like they always seem to be getting "new" engines

This unit was recieving its boxcar scheme repaint when Hunter Harrison closed the paint shops in Waycross GA, so after being taken on 5 different trains the unit is enroute to Selkirt where it will recieve the rest of its paint job.

Description:  Because Nick had to be back in Fort Wayne before 6, we took US 24 out of Defiance back to New Haven. When we approached Cecil we saw something red sticking out behind the grain elevator so we took a pit stop and saw that PREX 105, the Gettysburg unit, was sitting with a flat car, tank car, and a cyndrilical hopper car in the grain elevator spur so we took some photos of it.
