Album Info: This will be the last time an official railfest in Meridian, MS will be apart of the community. Many rail fans showed up to watch trains, young and old alike. The museum was open Saturday and vendors from model trains to the farmers market were set up. Some live local music and plenty of trains and activities for all. This would also be the last time the model railroad would be on display, tear down would begin after railfest weekend. This was a great weekend for all even if the air was thick with an honest sadness behind years of efforts. These efforts were taken by Mayor Percy Bland who is responsible for this happening. We can thank Percy for his sorry and irresponsible decision to put the Jimmie Rodgers museum in the museum building, so long to the Meridian railroad museum.
