Here is page two of a three-page article entitled "New PRR Service: Trailers On Flatcars." It was published originally in the June 1954 issue of "Pennsy" magazine, page 2. Partial Caption: "Ninety f-30 flats, equipped at Altoona to carry one trailer each, will start PRR's rail-trailer service." The name "TrucTrain" was submitted by Robert A. Young, a relief agent who worked in the PRR's Philadelphia Terminal Division. The $500 award was announced in the October 1954 issue of "Pennsy" magazine, page 5. |
