Looking south from Triplett Blvd. |
| Description: |
The former Valley Railway, Cleveland Terminal and Valley, later B&O, then Chessie System and finally CSX. Then left behind in 1985. Cuyahoga Valley Line was already running excursions between Independence and Akron by then and as CVSR would also run to Canton in the Summer months. That service was discontinued in 2012. AB has 2 customers just south of here. Landmark and A Schulman, both plastics companies. Wheeling comes from Canton and works up the line at various industries. I remember seeing CSX and Chessie pull coal and empty hopper trains on this line back in the early 80s. |
