Album Info:Here are two photos taken by Mr. Frank Clodfelter. They were published originally in the October 1948 issue of "Trains" magazine, page 31. The Caption Reads: "The terminal railroad is controlled jointly by the PRR and the B&O, and it serves the RF&P, C&O, and SR as well. It was incorporated in 1901 by an act of Congress. A cosmopolitan variety of heavy passenger traffic moves over its 55 miles of operated track, including sleek B&O Cincinnatians, streamliners up from Florida, standard-weight limiteds in from the Windy City, and even gas-electric cars. For a glimpse of the resultant traffic movements, check the rapid progress of this 1000-horsepower Alco-GE road-switcher."

Photo Caption: "Southern Railway's silvery Southerner has just cleared for New York behind a Pennsylvania Railroad GG-1, but the tower has already realigned the switches to permit this terminal engine to move across. In the background, you can see a steam-powered consist as well as another PRR GG-1 electric."
