Last mile of the Milwaukee Road
Title:  Last mile of the Milwaukee Road

Ghost yard on the Milwaukee Road
Title:  Ghost yard on the Milwaukee Road
Description:  For those familiar with Blair Kooistras great pictures of this railroad in the 1970s, this was my attempt to get close to where he stood taking a picture of a Milwaukee Road westbound freight coming through. It is amazing how unrecognizable the area is compared to railroad days.

Beverly Bridge
Title:  Beverly Bridge
Description:  One of the key points I wanted to see was the Beverly bridge, which is impressive, even in this desolate, sad town. It was cold out while I was there, and it added to the mystic of what this must have been like back in the 70s and before. The town is mostly dead, with a few residents trying to hang on for whatever reason they have.

Title:  Abandoned Milwaukee Road
Description:  Progressing back another day or two on this trip, we come to my original reason for the trip. I had wanted for 30 years to follow the Milwaukees PCE and finally got to do it from Missoula to Easton. This was a picture of the remaining bridge at Cyr. Could almost hear a Little Joe in my mind.
