MNCW 202
Title:  MNCW 202
Description:  Laying over for the weekend outside the historic Danbury station is one of Metro North's P32AC-DM fleet. Currently wearing the second paint scheme for the P32s, this dual mode locomotive was constructed by General Electric in the summer of 1995 and has been transporting trains of commuters to and from Grand Central Terminal ever since. The technology involved with enabling this locomotive to operate on either diesel or third rail electric power goes back to the New Haven Railroad FL-9 units that once operated through here.

After many years of display at South Carver, MA, it was moved further east to the Cape Cod Railroad at Hyannis, MA with plans for a restoration to active service which never occured. Acquired by the Danbury Railway Museum in 2000.

Description:  The newest addition to the Danbury Railway Museum's fleet of equipment is this caboose, recently acquired from the Canadian Pacific Railway. Built as Erie Lackawanna C-378 in 1970, it went to the D&H in 1976 rather than Conrail and continued in service for "The Bridge Line" into the Guilford and CP eras. The last assignment for this car before retirement was the CP locals in the Plattsburgh, NY area. Note that the car still retains its Guilford orange paint, minus Big G, a rarity to see in the 21st century.
