Album Info:This album features Part II of 30th St Station Conrail and Amtrak operations on Day 15 of the 44-day SEPTA City Division Transit worker's strike of 1977. All manner of former PRR/PC Metroliners, a trio of former PRR E-8A’s, and numerous GG1 and E60 electrics powered Amtrak’s operations that day. Bombardier’s LRC was also in town winding up 3 months of testing with Amtrak. Because of the strike, CR freight GG1's were mixing with Amtrak power in the engine terminal. Finally, the old PRR high line was busy with E-33’s, GG1’s, a GP10, and a GP38 leading Conrail freights through Philadelphia.

Description:  A desperate attempt to capture RDG MU 9102 out the window of the Philadelphia to Warminster local gave a view of the entrance to the former RDG Wayne Junction MU terminal. During the 44-day Septa Transit Workers Union strike on April, 1977, the Wayne Junction terminal was full of RDG Blueliners. A few Silverliners and 1929-1930 olive MUs were also lined up past the shops.
