PRR Passenger Station, 1965
Title:  PRR Passenger Station, 1965
Description:  Stations. Here is an original photo that I took of Pennsylvania Railroad property in Altoona, Pennsylvania, during December of 1965. Shown here is the PRR's Passenger Station located at the intersection of 10th Avenue and 13th Street. The ground floor was the space for passengers, while the second floor was where PRR crews checked in and out before and after their runs. Both east- and westbound passenger trains stopped in Altoona to change both engine and train crews. During 1946, there were 72 regularly-scheduled passenger trains a day which stopped in Altoona ~ so that's at least 144 crew changes per day!

Amtrak Passenger Station, 1994
Title:  Amtrak Passenger Station, 1994
Description:  Stations. Here is an original 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken at the Amtrak Passenger Station in Wilmington, Delaware, on 21 February 1994. It's exactly 1:05 P.M. on a cold and rainy Monday afternoon. Reminds me of a song by "The Carpenters."
