Album Info:The Malad branch ran from Brigham City, UT (MP 0.0) to Malad City, ID (MP 51.5). The Malad branch was originally built in the late 1890's by the Malad Valley Railroad to transport beets and sugar. By 1979, the beet traffic was gone, but Nucor Steel near Plymouth and Thiokol provided substantial business.

Union Pacific 2363
Title:  Union Pacific 2363
Description:  In June, 1995, I tried a double exposure to include the moon. I went west of Brigham City to get away from the city lights and used a telephoto lens to photograph the moon. I drove back into town, rerolled the film and reshot a few frames with the Malad Local power tied up in the yard. This was about the time when Cell Phones were becoming available. A passer-by noticed me taking the tripod out of the trunk and mistook it for a rifle and called the authorities. 10 minutes later, Im handcuffed on the ground, guns pointed at me with a not-so-friendly german shepard in my face. The cops werent happy that I wasted their time and suggested I find another hobby.
