Album Info:Nucor Steel Bar Mill Jewett, Texas, USA 21 June 2016 - 15:30 CST Everytime I stalk Nucor, I catch a different locomotive! Whadda they do? Change locos like I change underwear?? LOL Seriously, I was sitting at Deb's house, browsing the internet when I heard the UP Hearne SD dispatcher (on the newly learned frequency) giving the local instructions to head to Nucor for an switchout; so I figured I would join them, on the hopes Nucor would have their locomotive meet them. I wasn't disappointed, as the Nucor switcher rumbled up to throw a switch for the soon to arrive L-HA41. Nucor #609 [EMD SW1200] c/n 30307 built May 1965 ex-Peoria & Pekin Union Rwy. #500; rebuilt 1984 by Morrison Knudson & renumbered Peoria & Pekin Rwy #609; sold 1994 to Nucor Steel #609 © 2016 - Philip M.
