Description:  A work train is waiting out the weekend on the siding at Callicoon. There were still quite a few U23Bs in service at that time, and it was common to see them doing every kind of work. The EL hopper head out is a nice touch.

Description:  TV 301 rolls off the East Branch bridge over the Delaware. I always enjoyed seeing how much clearance the stacks had on this bridge. It was amazing how much clearance the Erie had on some of its structures.

Description:  OIBU and its 125 cars sit on the main near Hales Eddy on New Years Day. Apparently it outlawed here, and since there was no traffic to speak of, they just sent the crew van to get the outlawed crew, and will recrew tomorrow after the holiday. Go figure.

Description:  I always liked the view of this through truss, but didnt shoot many trains here, such as this BUOI. The problem was, you had to stand on the shoulder of NY 17 to get the shot. Not a good idea, and the state troopers will tell you that as they write the ticket for parking on the highway.

Description:  Sounds like a rock concert...actually, its a freight at a location on the Susquehanna River between Susquehanna and Great Bend PA, and if the light was right and you didnt have too many trees, it was a pretty nice view, as we see here with OIBU running along the river behind a pair of SDs. It would have looked nicer with a pair of EL SD45s, but cant have everything!!

The trees that are saplings in this photo, are now grown up, blocking the view of the half dozen or so trains that now run here each week. Description:  TV 26 rolls onto track 2 at SR, the tower that once controlled the west end of the yard here. The yard is long abandoned, and the tower automated. TV 26 is about to begin its run at Gulf Summit with 27 COFC and 38 racks. It will pass OIBU on the hill.
