Description:  I learned via another RRPictureArchives user that the Dan Patch swing bridge over the Minnesota River was getting some major rehab work done. Sure enough, that work was continuing when I stood on the hill above the span to snap this photo. It sure is a sight for sore eyes to see! Thank you, Twin Cities & Western, for the foresight in buying and keeping this bridge which will soon witness the passing of trains to and from the Port of Savage.

Description:  The TC&W used a portion of the MN&S main line south of Highway 13 as a tail track during their original operations in Savage. I found this sign lying on the east side of the main northwest of the Quentin Avenue trestle. Is TC&W going to extend the tail track to south of Quentin Avenue and the Credit River? Note the shadow of the bold interloper playing Indiana Jones on the old MN&S on this gorgeous early March afternoon.
