BO 722 |
Description: |
This nicely painted B&O F unit actually started life in 1952 as Bessemer & Lake Erie Railroad 722A, hauling freight trains in Pennsylvania and Ohio. Acquired by the Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad of West Virginia in 2001, it was restored to the passenger scheme of the B&O in 2010 and frequently sees excursion service along with leased "C&O" 8016. |

CNW 411 |
Description: |
One of two former C&NW F7s on the museum grounds this weekend, the other was in the roundhouse for cab tours at the time. Once used for commuter service in the Windy City, the Illinois Railway Museum has done a wonderful job restoring it back to how commuters of the 1950s would see it. Note the unique placement of the bell on the nose. |

NJT 4876 |
Description: |
Seen from the passing excursion train, still in former Conrail and New Jersey Transit markings, is former PRR 4876 next to the museum restoration shop. This was the GG-1 that crashed in Washington Union Station and was subsequently rebuilt at Altoona before going on to provide service until the 1980s. It is truly a testament to the work and quality that went into constructing these great machines. |
