| Description: |
New Orleans to Chicago pig train, I-02 is seen sitting on the main just south of Monroe St. on the south side of Grenada. They are waiting on southbound pig train, I-01 to get close to Grenada so they can pull into the siding. They would wait for the other train to get close to minimize the time the crossings are blocked while in the siding. The 6,113 ft. siding here has 4 street crossings. That Amtrak engine seen here is deadheading back north, it had been involved in a crossing accident. |
