SLSF 40602 #1059 - St Louis-San Francisco
Title:  SLSF 40602 #1059 - St Louis-San Francisco
Description:  Here is the last of the 1040 class to be built by Alco-Schenectady in 1912, SLSF #1059 (serial #50572) had 69" drivers, 175 psi boiler pressure and created 40,805 lb of tractive effort. Later the Frisco shops rebuilt them into oil burners with not much change in the tractive effort. The entire class was "dismissed from service" in the 13 months between 30 November 1950 and 27 December 1951. No location, date or photographer was listed for this photo.
