Description:  Chione. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken at 59th Street in Chicago, Illinois, on 20 February 1953. The photographer is not identified. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #7974, an H-10S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the American Locomotive Company as number "8974" during September of 1913, renumbered "7974" in 1917, and retired in 1955 after 42 years of faithful service. "Fill 'er up, Mack!"

Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #7974, an H-10S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the American Locomotive Company as number "8974" during September of 1913, renumbered "7974" in 1917, and retired in 1955. "Fill 'er up, Mack!" Partially visible at the left is PRR engine #9528, an EF-15 built by GM-EMD in July of 1948 and retired in July of 1965. Produced and distributed by Evda Slides of Maryland Heights, Missouri. (SFM)
