Description:  Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide showing (L to R) Pennsylvania Railroad engines #4943 and another unit whose number is not recorded. Both are E-2B (B-B) electrics built by General Electric and rated at 2,500 horsepower each. #4943 was built in October of 1951 and retired in June of 1965 after just 14 years of revenue service. Note that just one ~ not two ~ of the four pantographs is in the "up" position. The photographer's name, the date, and the location are not recorded. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4943, an E-2B (B-B) built by General Electric in October of 1951, rated at 2,500 horsepower, and retired in June of 1965. #4943 is bracketed by PRR locomotives #4742 and #4733. Both are P-5A (2-C-2) electrics built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works and rated at 3,750 horsepower each. #4742 was built in April of 1933 and retired in May of 1965, while #4733 was built in January of 1933 and retired in March of 1964.
