Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad 2-8-2 Class O-1-A 4968 at Centralia, Illinois on JUly 3, 1949, photographer unknown, print by Tom Klinger, Chuck Zeiler collection. Number 4968 was built by Baldwin in July 1923 (c/n 56817) and sold for scrap in April 1955. It looks like a fresh load of coal in the tender, so I'm guessing that this is a departure. |
