EMDX ET-909
Title:  EMDX ET-909
Description:  EMDX ET-909 at AT&SF's Corwith Yard in Chicago, Illinois on June 13, 1965, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. It is seen in the company of SD40X 434C. It was probably a rough ride for the test crew unless EMD tweaked the trucks. Those Blomberg B's were expecting about 17 tons more weight, the approximate weight of a 16 cylinder 567 prime mover.

EMDX SD40 434
Title:  EMDX SD40 434
Description:  EMDX SD40 434 testing on the CGW at Cicero, Illinois on February 19, 1966, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. This locomotive was the test bed for the first 645 prime mover. It was built in 1964 on an SD-35 frame, but had three large radiator fans. As built, it was painted in EMD's orange and white paint scheme, but settled down later for some long testing on the AT&SF, and was painted in a scheme similiar to the AT&SF freight scheme, but unlettered. After testing, it was sold to the GM&O, and numbered 950.
